Not that they dance too.
Not because we need a partner in the pas de deux
But because they are strong and athletic.
Because they are creative and elegant
Because they move with passion
Because they are dedicated and hard working
Because they are in love with dance.
And because they want to.
Boys dance in the face of adversity, despite the bullying, the comments about their sexuality and the laughter some backward TV show host inspired just when we were moving forward.
Boys Dance, and without them, the industry wouldn’t be the same.
