Meet Mallory Ehrhart, a YSU Theatre alum making an impact in theatre education! 👏🎭
One year after graduating in Spring 2025 with her a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Puppetry, Mallory serves as Theatre Arts Teacher, Drama Club Sponsor, and Auditorium Manager at Riley High School in South Bend, Indiana. In this role, she teaches theatre, oversees lighting design, props, and costumes, and directs or assists with multiple productions each year.
During her first year, Mallory helped lead the Thespian Troupe’s competition piece, “In the Forests Of The Night”, which earned 2nd Place and the Best Tech Award at regionals before placing 7th at the Indiana Thespians State Competition.
While teaching full-time, Mallory is also pursuing graduate studies in education at Indiana Wesleyan University. She credits her YSU Theatre experience with preparing her for the many responsibilities of her career, saying, “I believe that YSU prepared me well, and it will prepare other graduates with the tools for success.”
We're proud to see Mallory inspiring the next generation of theatre artists. Congratulations, Mallory! 🐧

🎭 What a spectacular run of “Kiss Me, Kate”, our final production of the semester! Bravo to the performers, stage crew, pit orchestra, and everyone who helped make this musical a success.👏
We are deeply grateful for the hard work behind every aspect of this production, from costumes and sets to music and lighting. This production would not have been possible without our dedicated faculty, students, musicians, creative professionals, and supportive community. ❤
