Our fall induction ceremony will take place this Friday at 7 p.m. in the Ohio Room in Kilcawley Center. The event will feature guest speaker Henry J. Gomez, the Politics Writer for The Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Dear Journalism Major,
We hope your first two weeks of class are going well and that you are enjoying being back on campus.
Journalism faculty at Youngstown State University have been working hard to create great learning opportunities for you in and outside of the classroom.
We would like you to come to a meeting of all journalism majors at 4 p.m. Sept. 12 in the basement of Fedor Hall. We have issues we need to discuss with you, including course advisement, scholarships, internships and courses. But we also want to answer your questions.
We look forward to seeing you at 4 p.m. Sept. 12.

Our induction dinner featuring guest speakers Teresa Weakley and Christine Davidson will be tonight at 6 p.m. in the James Gallery in Kilcawley Center.

Our chapter had a BIG day today! Won several national awards at the 2012 Biennial Conference. The Jambar earned second place for best newspaper, third place for editorials. Chelsea Miller earned second in features. Doug Livingston, Josh Stipanovich and Jordan Uhl took third in continuing coverage.
