Choffin’s first Market Day is in the books. It was a huge success! Thank you to our construction technology students and their instructor, Kevin Sinkele for our flat Stanley Food Truck!

Mr. Batchelor, our superintendent, stopped by to visit 'Stanley' before the board meeting tonight. Unfortunately, he has another commitment in Columbus on Friday and won't be able to make it to 'Stanley's' debut at Market Day, but you can still come see 'Stanley' at Choffin Career & Technical Center from 8:30 - 1:30!

An extraordinary Field Trip experience! The young participants were in their comfort zone of a kitchen, showcasing their potential and actively engaging in the learning process. Their reluctance to leave indicates the trip's success in broadening their horizons and encouraging them to pursue opportunities.

We are heading to Cuyahoga Community College today for a Cook Along!! To say my students are excited is an understatement, to be completely honest I can’t wait either. I’m looking forward to seeing their faces when they see what a post secondary class is like and most importantly I can’t wait to learn something new!!!

After 15 years of teaching, I am thrilled to see 8 of my students pursuing higher education. Their determination and passion for learning are truly inspiring, and I couldn't be prouder of them.

Proud teacher moment today these seniors started their community service project with a local church. They were asked to dice and portion tomatoes and onions as well as portion tzatziki sauce. The church provided a chopper to make it easier but these seniors said “Chef can we dice it all by hand? We want to practice before our field trip!!” So today they dived 50 # of onions by hand!!! I love this class!

The best part of these freezing temperatures at Chef’s house is being able to practice bread making and to allow it to naturally proof in front of a fire! I’m looking forward to eat this Honey whole wheat bread!

The students have missed being open! we look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday!

It’s beginning to look like Christmas at Choffin!

We helped out our fellow elementary school this year by roasting 10 turkeys for their family thanksgiving dinner!

Doesn’t look like much right now but in a few weeks we will be harvesting lettuce and basil!!!

If you are able to help our Early Childhood Education Program with this tradition, we are currently accepting donations

We are so excited to open tomorrow! Culinary Creations will be open on Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 am to 9:55 am and 12:30pm to 1:30pm.

We planted our first lettuce and basil seeds for our hydroponic garden. Once we have seedlings we will be able to harvest in 4 weeks and use the lettuce in our cafe, Culinary Creations!

This week the seniors are “upping” their game for eggs and dairy. They made various soufflés and creme brûlée.

So proud of the hard work our students put in last year and ever year! I can’t wait to be back in class on Monday! 💙💚
