YSU students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members are invited to join YSU in supporting the Panerathon to benefit the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center! You can run or walk and choose from 2-mile and 10k routes.

Please note: all team members will be responsible for picking up their packets at the Covelli Centre on Thursday, August 24th from 9am-8pm. There is ample parking available on site, and no appointment is needed for pickup.
On race day, all members of the YSU team should plan to gather on the steps outside the Covelli Centre at 9am for a group photo.

Pete's Pride members were an important part of logistics and the warm welcome provided for future Penguins at today's Penguin Preview Day. Hundreds of students and families from all over explored campus and got an inside look at everything Youngstown State University has to offer.

Pete's Pride members and Alumni volunteers came out on Saturday morning to assist with United Way's Satur-day of Caring. Volunteers helped with unloading and unpacking groceries, packing grocery bags and delivering to around 350 families in need.

Students aged 10-14 will be on campus on July 26, 27 and 28 to visit different areas such as the Planetarium, Mineral Museum, Rec Center and the ETC Center. Volunteers are being asked to guide students from station to station throughout their day. Shifts are available between 9:30am-12:45pm. We’ve certainly missed on-campus volunteer opportunities over the last year. Commencement weekend provides your first chance to return for an in-person assignment, at the most important event in the life of the University. Volunteers will walk graduates to their college-assigned areas on the field at Stambaugh Stadium after they have registered. A good deal of standing and walking will be required. Our second Bites and Bits of History lunchtime program will be presented online again. Debuting on Thursday, June 18 at noon, MVHS hosts “What Brought Them Here: African American Migrations into the Mahoning Valley,” presented by Stacey Adger, local historian and genealogist.
This was originally slated to be our February program, so we hope that you’ll be as excited as we are to reschedule and share it with you in an online video format, while our MVHS facilities are closed during the pandemic public health restrictions.
