Donations provide Thanksgiving turkeys to Youngstown families 11/18/2023

Congratulations to Dr. Donofrio, who made this possible, and the whole team who helped to pass out Thanksgiving turkeys. A huge shout out to all the donors. This would not have been possible without YOU. It truly takes a village. Thank you. 🧡🖤

Donations provide Thanksgiving turkeys to Youngstown families Frozen turkeys were being handed out at the Rayen Early College Middle School. Three hundred turkeys were donated by various people and organizations.

Seventh Grade Science Teacher, Mr. Mears had some amazing helpers today! Mears said, “These eighth graders taught the seventh graders how to navigate the Gizmo program called Forest Ecosystems.”

These boys had the pleasure of having Mayor Tito Brown of City Of Youngstown & Bryant Youngblood Jr. speak. We gave away money and prizes and gift cards. Thank you to all of our sponsors!!”

RECMS Families,

We just want you to know that we would like to provide your Thanksgiving turkey this year!

Pick up for RECMS families will be on Thursday, November 16th from 12 noon to 4:00 PM.

Just swing on by, no need to even get out of the car. Just pull up by the main parking lot and we will hand deliver the turkey of your choice.

This is just one way of saying HAPPY THANKSGIVING and we sure are thankful for all of you! 🦃🧡🖤

Way to go, Mr. Kosek! 🤩

Scholars from Justin Kosek's seventh-grade physical education class at RECMS were collaborating together to accomplish the task of getting over the 3 1/2-foot rope/fence without touching it. Mr. Kosek does many different team building, and cooperative strategies with his scholars.

This is Jeremiah who is an 8th grader. Dr. Donofrio was contacted by a substitute bus driver because Jeremiah has been doing something amazing. This substitute bus driver was given a new route. Jeremiah helped this substitute bus driver with every turn and direction necessary to deliver the students on that bus to their homes. Jeremiah and the bus driver have developed a great friendship.
Dr. Donofrio says that this is, “Just another great kid at RECMS! Talk about integrity!❤️🖤🧡”
Way to Jeremiah. We are all so proud of you! Your future is bright! 🤩

Please mark your calendars! There will be an Early Release Day for scholars on Friday, November 10, for the end of the first nine weeks. Scholars will leave school two hours early this day.
