We are very thankful to have the recipient of our 2023 Pay It Forward Grant: SWAG Sisters, to come back and give us an update on how they used our grant money.
Honeya, the founder of SWAG Sisters used the grant to fund a mental health and self care retreat for a group of young girls at a remote campsite this past fall. This provided a great opportunity for the young women to learn developmental skills they need to help them become flourishing, well-rounded, young women. Learning how to take care of their mind, body, and spirit while also introducing them to positive female role models.
