The inaugural Belly Left Golf Outing at the Youngstown Country Club was a tremendous success! We extend our sincere gratitude to all the players who joined us in supporting the scholars of the Youngstown City School District.

We are deeply appreciative of our title sponsors, Red Zone and Safehouse, as well as all of our generous sponsors and hole sponsors. A special thank you goes to Maurice Clarett of Red Zone, for attending the event and delivering truly inspiring remarks.

Our heartfelt thanks also go to the Youngstown Country Club for their outstanding hospitality, to the 70-plus golfers who took to the course, and to our dedicated volunteer committee whose commitment and effort ensured the event’s seamless ex*****on.

We look forward to establishing this golf outing as an annual tradition. Thank you for standing with YCSD and helping invest in our scholars!

Join YCSD in congratulating YRECMS scholar, Josiah Jackson! Representing the district at the Do the Write Thing conference in Washington, D.C., recently, Josiah, was chosen as one of just four students nationwide to read his essay at the Library of Congress.

Do the Write Thing is a national program that encourages middle school students to write about how violence has affected their lives and communities. The initiative helps students share their stories, express their perspectives, and take an active role in creating safer, more supportive neighborhoods. Josiah was selected as an ambassador for YCSD at the annual district Do the Write Thing Awards Ceremony in May.
