It is officially time to place your driveway painting orders!!!

The Honors Trustees are painting driveways so you can show off your penguin pride. As long as you order by July 31st you could have your pick of a Pete the Penguin Head, Little Pete the Penguin, Big Y, Big Pete the Penguin, or Big Y + Pete the Penguin.

We will also be offering touch-ups on previously painted YSU logos.

***If you have a blacktop driveway, when you had it last sealed has a huge impact on the durability of your design. We recommend not having your driveway painted within 3 weeks of its last seal***

Before your driveway painting session, the Honors Trustees will reach out via email and/or phone to let you know when we have scheduled your painting time based on your order instructions. We will also reach out if we have any questions about the location of your painting.

You do not have to be present for the driveway painting unless you prefer.

Today we hosted our annual BaccMed camp. The camp offers prospective students interested in a career in medicine an opportunity to learn about the YSU-BaccMed program, tour the campus, and engage with current students, faculty, and staff. 🌱🎨 Our amazing undergrad teaching assistants are blooming into leaders this summer! 🌼✨ As part of their training, they took personality tests and painted flower pots in colors that match their unique traits — a fun and meaningful activity inspired by our always-growing associate director, Presley Bowser 🌸🪴💚

Registration is now open for the 2025 BaccMed Camp. Join us on Tuesday, June 17th from 8:30am-3pm to learn more about the program, see the YSU campus, and meet YSU-BaccMed students, faculty, and staff. Registration closes on June 13th. This month, honors students participated in the “Canstruction” event at the Eastwood Mall which benefits Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness that many in our community do not have their basic food needs met. Congratulations to our students who brought home the Crowd Commander Award. 🏆❤️

It took leadership, lots of teamwork, and 731 cans to construct this scene from Minecraft for today’s Canstruction event at the 🥫

Students worked together to plan their design aligned with theme of Games: Win The Battle Against Hunger in partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank , where all cans will be donated.

The Team Penguins design features a classic creeper, river, and the YSU “Y” 🐧
