Gavin is 8yrs type 1 diabetic since sept 18th, 2008. Gavin unfortunately suffers from hypoglycemic unawareness. Relying on fingerstick blood sugars and the Dexacom (continous glucose monitor), we still feel a sense of uneasiness and fear of that , unrecongnized life threating low in the middle of the night.
