One open house visit helped change his direction, now he’s celebrating one year with CBRE Direct Line! 🎉

Tronston Williams turned NCUS TEC’s Fiber Optics Light Brigade training, funded by the Franklin County , into technical skills, professional connections, and a new career with our employer partner, CBRE CBRE | Direct Line .

When Tronston Williams saw a neighborhood flyer for an NCUS TEC open house, he had already earned a bachelor’s degree but was still searching for a stable career, and decided, “I have nothing to lose.”

That first step led him to our Fiber Optics Light Brigade training, funded by the Franklin County Commissioners, where he gained hands-on technical skills and a supportive professional network.

He secured a position with our employer partner, CBRE Direct Line, on September 17, 2025, and has since built industry experience, gained confidence, and made significant progress toward paying off his student loans.

One credential can open the door to what’s next.

Ninqi Stratton entered NCUS TEC Pennsylvania ’s Advanced Manufacturing program with a goal: keep moving her career forward.

She researched the opportunity before enrolling, committed to completing her training while balancing responsibilities outside of the classroom, and earned her Industry 4.0 certification.

But she didn’t stop there.

Today, Ninqi is applying her new technical knowledge as she interviews for opportunities in manufacturing and continues exploring additional credentials through NCUS TEC, with a long-term vision of growing into project management.

She’s even brought someone else along the journey, referring another jobseeker to NCUS TEC.

Ninqi’s story is a reminder that completing one program doesn’t have to be the finish line. Sometimes, it’s the beginning of a much bigger career pathway.
