At Young Harris College, weβre intentionally building partnerships that create more opportunities for students both on their path to YHC and beyond graduation.
This past spring, YHC signed two agreements designed to expand those opportunities with North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) and Brenau University.
Through our partnership with NGTC, students can receive credit for approved courses completed at NGTC that satisfy degree requirements at Young Harris College. Approved courses span a variety of academic areas, from accounting to sociology, creating a more seamless pathway for students to continue their education at YHC.
βThis is a great opportunity for North Georgia Technical College and Young Harris College to partner together to help students in the area pursue their degrees,β said Dr. John Wells, YHC President. βProviding an avenue like this for students helps them to follow whatever their academic dreams are β which should be the focus of any higher education institution.β
Our agreement with Brenau University extends that pathway beyond YHC. Young Harris graduates will receive preferred admission consideration for Brenau graduate programs in fields including business, education, healthcare, psychology, communication, organizational leadership and more.
βThe affiliate agreement between Brenau and Young Harris expedites studentsβ transition from undergraduate to graduate school,β Brenau Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs James Eck, Ph.D., said. βYoung Harris graduates can pursue high-demand programs at Brenau, including masterβs and doctoral programs.β
Together, these partnerships reflect YHCβs commitment to creating meaningful pathways for students from where they begin to where they want to go next.
