Sometimes the best lessons come from figuring it out together. 💛

Activities like this give our students a chance to practice communication, trust, problem solving, and a little patience too. They learn pretty quickly that when everyone brings something to the table and works toward the same goal, they can accomplish a lot more together.

Teamwork is a skill that reaches far beyond the classroom, and we love giving our Yosemite Valley School students opportunities to practice it.

Meet our school counselor, Mrs. Cynthia Grissom.

She is passionate about getting to know our students, supporting their growth, and being a resource for families throughout the school year. Outside of school, she enjoys baking, sports, reading, family time, and spending time in nature.

We’re grateful to have Mrs. Grissom as part of the Yosemite Valley School community.

There will be NO SCHOOL September 4th–7th in observance of Labor Day.

We hope our Yosemite Valley School families enjoy the extra time to rest, recharge, and soak up a little more of the outdoors. We’ll see everyone back on campus after the holiday weekend!

We LOVE having our students back on campus! 💛

The classrooms are full, the smiles are back, and there’s a whole lot of happy energy around Yosemite Valley School. There’s just something special about seeing familiar faces, hearing laughter across campus, and getting back into the rhythm of learning together.

There are school views… and then there are Yosemite Valley School views! Whether our students are stepping outside for a lesson, heading across campus, or simply peeking through a classroom window, they’re surrounded by something pretty incredible.

Towering trees, granite walls, open skies, and the kind of scenery that never really becomes “normal.” It truly is majestic all around us, and we’re lucky to call this place our classroom, our campus, and our home.

Backpacks packed, lunch boxes ready, water bottles filled… and we’re good to go! 🎒💧🌲

All other school supplies have already been purchased for our students, so families only need to send a backpack, lunch box, and water bottle.

Please be sure to label all personal belongings with your student’s name, and remember that toys should stay at home unless they’re part of a special classroom event.

Here’s to keeping things simple and starting the year off strong at Yosemite Valley School!
