WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT NEW E-BIKE AND SCOOTER RULES.

Age minimums by speed class, licensing required for high-speed devices (28+ mph), and clearer rules on where you can ride.

There have been several teen deaths or injuries this year — including 16-year-old Alex Blacio, killed in August riding an e-scooter home from work on Western Ave. He was the third Chicago teen killed this year in an e-scooter crash.
