Today is Evelyn's fifteenth birthday!! Evelyn is one of our amazing theatre students, and has been seen with us on stage in productions of "Beauty and the Beast," "Newsies," "James and the Giant Peach JR," and many more! She will also be playing the part of Ramses in our production of "Prince of Egypt" (pictured - performances start this weekend!) Evelyn is hard-working, kind-hearted, talented, passionate about theatre, supportive and respectful toward her peers, and she captures every character she plays with authenticity! Ms. April and Mr. Garret send their heartfelt congratulations to the students involved with "Suffs" this weekend! The show was amazing and we are so proud of our Centerstage students who were in the show!

Ramses has always grown up in the shadow of his father, Pharaoh Seti. Seti frequently reminds him that Egypt will be his "first born," and he mustn't be the one weak link that breaks the chain of their strong lineage. Years later, when Ramses becomes the Pharaoh, he is tested when his brother Moses returns and demands freedom for the Hebrew people. Which path will Ramses take? The mighty king of Egypt, Pharoah Seti presents a dominant visage, wearing the crown of Upper and Lower Egypt, and wielding the sceptres of royalty. Seti is a conquered renowned for his many victories in war, taking back the lands lost by previous pharoahs with an iron fist.
