Grizzly Getaway at Grafton Bethel

At last month’s Board of Supervisors meeting, Virginia Cooperative Extension volunteers were recognized as York County’s Outstanding Volunteer Organization of the Year! 🎉

In 2024, Extension volunteers contributed 22,000+ hours of service—part of the 66,699 hours given by 1,838 countywide volunteers, valued at more than $2.3 million.

From 4-H youth programs and Master Gardener Learning Gardens to environmental education and school gardens, these volunteers make a lasting difference through leadership, stewardship, and hands-on learning. 💚

Join us in thanking our Extension volunteers for their dedication to York County!

We'd love to see you this Sunday afternoon for a workday in the Grizzly Getaway. We'll be joined by 4H Schoolyard Habitats outreach partners. Come for a little or stay the whole time - you will make a difference in our schoolyard.

Looking forward to our clean up event this weekend! We got the ball rolling on Monday with Crossroads Community Church and hope to keep the momentum going! Thank you for all your help in maintaining our ALL volunteer run garden!

We've got another car load of plants ready to get in the ground! We've selected a variety of pollinator plants to support our insect friends this pollinator week and every day the rest of the year.
