In Computer Science, 2nd and 3rd grade students started by learning how to successfully code Botley to complete a task! Next, they worked in teams to create a virtual museum for Botley to teach about their topic. Second graders chose a habitat, and third graders chose an ancient civilization. Students created 4 artifacts to go in their museum and wrote a sentence for each and why it is important to their civilization or habitat. Next, they placed their artifacts in their museum and worked together to correctly code Botely to “tour” the museum as they read about each exhibit Botley passed.

A moo-velous day at Mt. Vernon! 🐄 Our K–3 students loved learning from the Southland Dairy Farmer’s Mobile Dairy Classroom today. Students explored how dairy farms work, watched a live milking demonstration, and even got to meet a real cow named Penny! 🥛

Our Entrepreneurship Club students officially opened their pop-up shop yesterday! They spent their mornings selling the products they’ve worked on the entire year! From dreaming up ideas, presenting at the MVE Shark Tank, product production, and now to real-life sales, they’ve truly done it all!
There’s still time to shop! Students have ONE more day to support these incredible young entrepreneurs. Their pop up shop’s last day is tomorrow, Wednesday May 6th!
