Happy Friday Pipers!

Tonight is our annual Barnes and Noble book night! We will be meeting there around 6:30pm for an evening of reading books, coloring and singing songs! Please wear your class t-shirt and make sure you mention you are with our group at check out in order to get us some free books from barnes and nobles!

Don’t Forget The Eggs!!!!

Thursday and Friday will be our Easter celebration, we will have a contest for the most creative Easter bonnets! Please also send in TWO white hard boiled eggs each day your child attends, we will be decorating at school! Check out the March notes for more details on our “eggstravagent” celebration!

Camp 2026 Registration Now Open!!!

We are so excited to be back for our 47th Summer Camp Season this upcoming 2026 summer! We are so excited to welcome all campers new and old back to Pied Piper for a fun filled camp season. We have finished all playground renovations and modifications to keep summer camp fun with sprinklers, water slides, water tables, sand tables, turf fields, arts & crafts, theater, sports and more… Then when it is too hot we get to cool off in our lovely air conditioned indoor facilities!

You pick the days, times, weeks and leave the fun to us!!

No School- Snow and Ice Expected

Yorktown Central School District has just announced the cancellation of school on Tuesday, March 3rd due to the expected snow/ice conditions. Pied Piper School will also be closing and we will send out a new date for the dentist to come visit. Lers all hope this is the last snowy day for this winter as I think we have all had enough snow days and snow for the foreseeable future!! If you do go out today please drive carefully as they are expecting a lot of ice and some snow to sit on top of it.

UPDATE: School Closed 2/25/2026

Unfortunately, with the current road conditions the Yorktown Central School District just announced that they will have to close schools today. Due to the closure we will have to close as well so everyone please be safe and if you venture out please drive carefully as there have been a lot of accidents on the highways and back roads. We will be celebrating Lunar New Year tomorrow and Friday so remember to wear red tomorrow and your class t-shirts Friday.

UPDATE! 3 Hour Delay- 2/25/2026

This winter keeps getting crazier and crazier. Kathy and I just spent about 45 minutes getting from Shrub Oak to Yorktown and we can honestly say that the roads are not looking too great. Due to that, Yorktown Central School District has announced a 3 hour delay due to road conditions and current snowy conditions. Please read the schedule as no program will begin today prior to 9:00am. We will also be moving our Lunar New Year Celebraiton back to Thursday and Friday so everyone can enjoy.

Here is the current schedule for Pied Piper School!

Daycare/Extended Care Students: 9:00am Drop Off

Full Day Students(9-3): School starts 11:30am, drop off is at 11:30am

AM Only students: School Cancelled

PM Only students: Normal drop off at 12:15pm

Before care students going to Brookside/Crompond/Mohansic can come once we open the doors at 9:00am but will be getting on the bus on a 3 hour delay schedule.

Dr. Hattar did emphasize that he will update everyone by 8:30am if a full closure is needed. Lets hope that snow ends soon and the sun comes out!!!

Surprise! What a wild winter it has been here in Yorktown. Yorktown Central School District has announced a 2 hour delay due to road conditions and current snowy conditions. Please read the schedule as no program will begin today prior to 8:30am. We will also be moving our Lunar New Year Celebraiton back to Thursday and Friday so everyone can enjoy.

Hi Pipers,

In accordance with the Yorktown Central School District and the announcement from Dr. Hattar, Pied Piper will be on a 3 hour delay schedule tomorrow Tuesday 1/27/26. Please read the schedule carefully as 3 hour delay schedules are a little tricky. NO PROGRAM WILL BEGIN BEFORE 8:00am as we have to get the parking lot/walkways ready for school and staff need to get in!!

Here is the current schedule for Pied Piper School!

Daycare/Extended Care students: 8:00am Drop Off (We need time to salt and make sure everything is clear)

Full Day Students(9-3): School starts 11:30am, drop off is at 11:30am

AM Only students: School Cancelled

PM Only students: Normal drop off at 12:15pm

Before care students going to Brookside/Crompond/Mohansic can come when we open at 8:00am but will be getting on the bus on a 3 hour delay schedule. Children in these elementary schools will not be given lunch at school so make sure you pack it so they can have it at Pied Piper.

Intermediate Conferences Update-

All Intermediate/Blue group conferences that were scheduled for tomorrow Tuesday 1/27/26 will be rescheduled for next week, Tuesday 2/3/26 at the same times. We apologize for any inconvenience, but with the change in schedule/bus pickups/drop offs it would not allow Max to do conferences at those times!
