🌟 Big things start with goals!
Students throughout Hunter Street were hard at work this week setting personal and academic goals as part of their Leader in Me journey. By dreaming big and planning for success, our students are learning that leadership starts with taking ownership of their growth.
We can't wait to see all they accomplish this year! 💙🎯

🇺🇸 We Learn, Serve, and Give as One 🇺🇸

In York School District One, our motto is “We Learn, Serve, and Give as One.” This September, Hunter Street Elementary would like to put those words into action by giving back to our local fire and police stations in remembrance of 9/11.

Our first responders make sacrifices every day to help keep our community protected and safe, and that is something we never take for granted. ❤️🤍💙

To show our appreciation, we will be collecting donations of:

🍿 Individual bags of snacks
💧 Bottled water
🥤 Gatorade

All donations will be given to our local police and fire stations on September 11th as a small way of saying thank you for your service, dedication, and commitment to our community. If you would like to contribute one of these items, please drop it off in the office or send to school with your child before September 10th.

🐾💚 Together, we can show what it truly means to Learn, Serve, and Give as One!

🐾💚 Our First Husky Hype Day Was a HUGE Success! 💚🐾

What a fun day celebrating our amazing school community! Our students and staff showed up in their favorite Husky gear and school colors, and our Husky Pride was definitely showing today! 🐺💚🤍🩶

We loved seeing everyone come together, show their school spirit, and make our very first Husky Hype Day one to remember!

Thank you to all of our students and staff for making today so much fun. We can’t wait for the next one!

How exciting for our students!

YCHS Theatre will be hosting a Theatre Camp for 2nd through 8th graders over intersession. This is a fundraiser to support sending students to their state festival this fall, but it is also a wonderful opportunity to have students from all YSD1 schools learn more about Musical Theatre, Pantomime, Improv, Creative Drama, Playwriting, Puppetry, Costume Design, and MORE! 🚌 Students in Montessori through first grade participated in YSD1 Transportation Bus Academy where they learned how to board, ride, and exit a bus as well as how to safely cross the street in front of a bus.

A huge thank you to our Transportation Department and bus drivers for helping our students learn about bus safety. You really are the very best!❤️
