York University celebrated Campus Ministry Day today in memory of Mike Rush—on what would have been his 63rd birthday! We're blessed for all of the love and care that Mike and his wife, Janet, poured into YC's campus ministries during his time as campus minister in the '90s and '00s. It's a blessing to see how our ministry has grown and blossomed throughout the years.

Let’s meet Dr. Greg Stevenson!

Dr. Stevenson, beginning his second year here at York, is a professor of New Testament. His teaching focuses on biblical interpretation, the world and culture of the Bible, and the intersection of Christianity and popular culture.

“My current favorite class is “The Bible in Society” because we get to address a variety of fascinating topics, such as cult groups, artificial intelligence, popular culture and so forth…I enjoy engaging with the students and helping to grow in them an excitement for the Bible.”

He is the author/editor of five books, with the most recent being Theology and the Marvel Universe, Seeing the Apocalypse: Essays on Bird Box, and A Slaughtered Lamb: Revelation and the Apocalyptic Response to Evil and Suffering.

York University is grateful to have such amazing faculty members. Learn more about our Bible and Ministry Department here:
