Registration for the upcoming 2026-2027 Basketball and Cheer Season will open on August 15th!

🏀 Available Basketball programs are as follows:
1. Rink (Boys and Girls) - 3rd and 4th Graders
2. Junior (Boys and Girls) - 5th and 6th Graders

📣 Cheerleading is offered for 3rd - 6th Graders.

Please plan to join us for Safe Schools, Strong Communities: An Evening with York City Police Commissioner Michael Muldrow on Thursday, September 3, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in Brenner Hall.

Commissioner Muldrow will share stories and an inspiring message centered on supporting schools, children, and families; connecting with people; and his love for York City. The evening will conclude with a community question-and-answer session.

We want our families to be part of this important conversation—and we are adding a few special incentives!

✅ Families in attendance will receive one community service hour toward their required 15 hours.
✅ Each student in an attending family will earn a dress-down pass.
🍦 The class with the highest family participation rate will receive an ice cream treat!

Light refreshments and translation headsets will be available.

The United Parishes Basketball Coaches will be offering Basketball Open Gym Sessions!

These sessions will be available to all Boys and Girls who currently play for UPBC or who will be registering for one of our Rink (3rd/4th) or Junior (5th/6th) teams in the Fall. These are intended to be fun-for-all ages sessions where we can all come together and play some basketball leading up to the start of the upcoming season.

During our open gym sessions, our coaches will lead skill building drills, shooting drills, and 3v3 and 5v5 gameplay.

Open Gym Sessions will be held the following Tuesday evenings:
September 1st - 6:00pm - 7:30pm
September 8th - 6:00pm - 7:30pm
September 29th - 6:00pm - 7:30pm

Where:
St. Joseph York Gym

There will be no registration required for the open gyms; just show up and be ready to jump in and play! The sessions are open and parents are permitted to stay and watch.

The YC Music Association is holding a Car Wash on Saturday, August 8, from 10 AM-1 PM at the York Catholic bus circle entrance. Come out and get an exterior car wash while supporting a good cause with your donation.

Fresh off throwing a very successful Kentucky Derby Gala and concluding the school year as our new Development Director, Jennifer Boger spent part of last month at the annual Partners in Mission Conference in Chicago! This conference, called the "National Advancement Summer Institute for Catholic Schools," featured sessions on enrollment management, communication, fundraising best practices, and more. Among the conference's 500+ attendees from other Catholic organizations around the country, this picture shows other members present from the Diocese of Harrisburg's schools! 😎🏆👏

Dr. Stephen Dietrich has received a “Letter of Call to Ordination” from Bishop Senior, along with his fellow diaconate class members! Ordination to the Permanent Diaconate will be held on Sept. 12. Please pray for him and Mary Jean as he completes his formation and prepares for his Ordination! ☺️🙏🕊️

This is a great opportunity for any aspiring YC girls lacrosse players (rising 1st grade and up)! 🥍
