🌟 Congratulations to our August Habit Heroes! 🌟

As we begin a new school year, we are proud to recognize these students for starting strong and embracing the Leader in Me mindset. By demonstrating leadership, responsibility, and a positive attitude, they are already making a difference in our school community. 🐘 It’s Elmer’s Day! 🐘 Inspired by the book Elmer’s Special Day, Ms. McNie‘s 4K students hosted their very own Elmer’s Day Parade! Just like in the story, the amazing kiddos celebrated friendship, inclusivity, and what makes each of us unique by showing off their colorful, handmade elephants. Watch them march! ❤️

Happy FriYAY!

Friends in Mrs. Erb’s 1st grade class continued working on improving their place value knowledge and building numbers!

Students enjoyed the first of many fun lessons with Ms. Andrea, our district OT Superstar! 🌟

They worked on exercises to get both their right and left brain 🧠 working together and exercises to get their bodies ready for writing! ✍️ Students then worked on proper cutting techniques with scissors as they reinforced proper line placement of short letters!

They also have been learning about their place in the Universe and about the moon 🌖 specifically this week. Today, they even made four moon stages out of… OREOS! Not sure what was more fun, the project or the eating of moons!

Students also began their “Map Chats” by looking at their MAP data and setting goals to strengthen their skills!

Mrs. Morrison’s students decided to put Mrs. Hoyt and Officer Bell to the test in a good old-fashioned foot race around the gym! 🏁

And let’s just say… the students understood the assignment. 😅👏
