This is a reminder that Agape is closed on Friday April 3rd in observance of Good Friday! We hope you all have a great Easter weekend.

4K is closed the next week April 6-10. The daycare portion of our center is open the week of spring break on regular schedule. If you have a child in 4K with no aftercare services they should not attend this week. Only 4K students with aftercare services should come to daycare. All other age groups are operating on normal schedule.

York School District One has received an updated forecast from York County Emergency Management and the National Weather Service regarding a severe weather system moving through our area tomorrow, Monday, March 16.

Forecasts indicate a high risk for severe thunderstorms, potential tornadoes, and straight-line winds reaching up to 70 MPH. Based on this information and for the safety of our students and staff, 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐘𝐒𝐃𝟏 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰, 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟔.

Instructions regarding assignments and the schedule for Friday will be sent by your child's school later this week. All practices, meetings, and after-school activities scheduled for Monday are also cancelled.

🎩📚Our two year olds had a blessed & joyful Dr. Seuss spirit week! 📚🎩

Oh, what a week it was to see,
our sweet little friends so happy and free!
With crazy socks, bright colors to wear,
wacky outfits and pajamas everywhere! 🌈🧦😴

We laughed and learned throughout the week,
with joyful smiles on every cheek.
But more than dress-up, fun, and play,
we thanked the Lord for each new day.

We are so grateful God has placed
these precious children in this place.
Each day we teach, we love, we pray,
and plant seeds in their hearts along the way. 💛

We’re happy to share that we will resume normal operating hours tomorrow following the recent winter weather closures/delays.

❄️ Weather Update – 2 Hour Delay ❄️
Due to the recent snowstorm, our daycare will be opening tomorrow Wednesday February 4th on a 2-hour delayed schedule. We will open at 8:00 a.m. We typically follow the school district’s policy, and while the school district is closed tomorrow , we value our parents and children and have chosen to open with a delay to allow for safer travel conditions.
Please note: we do not take responsibility for completing or supervising any e-Learning assignments that children may be expected to complete through the school district.

❄️ Weather Closure Notice ❄️
Due to icy road conditions from the recent snowstorm, Agape will be CLOSED tomorrow Tuesday February 3rd. While we understand this may be inconvenient, the safety of our children and staff is always our top priority. Many of our team members travel from outside of York and some even outside the county. With current road conditions, we’ve made the decision to close to keep everyone safe. We appreciate your understanding and will continue to keep families updated. Stay safe and warm

Due to the incoming inclement weather, Agape will be closed Monday January 26th

***𝐘𝐒𝐃𝟏 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐘, 𝐉𝐀𝐍𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝟐𝟔𝐓𝐇***

In response to the Ice Storm Warning in our area expected to bring freezing rain, ice accumulation and possible power outages, York School District One's schools, buildings and offices will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026, and the district will transition to an asynchronous eLearning day. An asynchronous eLearning Day means that students will not log on for live instruction from their teachers. Instead, students will complete assignments posted to Canvas (the district’s online learning management system) or provided in paper packets for our youngest learners.

Teachers will provide students with eLearning assignments via Canvas and communicate with parents via ParentSquare. Students who do not have access to the internet or are unable to complete their assignments will have the opportunity to submit assignments at a later date that will be communicated upon return to school. Should parents have questions regarding student work assignments, please contact your child’s teacher. Teachers will make every effort to be available to support students throughout the day; however, we recognize that power and internet outages may impact connectivity for both staff and families. Flexibility will be provided as we navigate these weather-related conditions together. We will notify families and staff of any additional schedule changes using the district’s automated communication system, the district website, and social media.
