Mahogany Bay Farm Mahogany Bay Farm offers equine-assisted reading tutoring aligned with the Science of Reading & taught with the Orton-Gillingham method. Come ride with us!

We also offer “farmtastic” fun through our summer camps & after school programs! Mahogany Bay Farm specializes in hunters and hunter seat equitation. We offer comprehensive riding lessons, training, summer camps, an equine science club, working student horsemanship days and horse showing.

What if after school meant heading to the barn?🍁🐎🍂

Introducing Barn Buddies- a new after school program for K-5th graders who LOVE animals!

Instead of spending the afternoon indoors, Barn Buddies get to learn, explore, and care for the horses & farm animals while making new friends and building confidence and responsibility.

And there’s something pretty special about the way we end our afternoons…💛 The kids feed the animals dinner, help settle everyone in for the night, and they read the horses a bedtime story!🌙

During Barn Buddies, children will also:

🐴Learn about horse care & safety
🧽Groom & feed the animals dinner
🐎Enjoy pony rides
🐐Take adventurous goat walks
🐓Cuddle with our chickens & bunny🐇
🎨Create farm-inspired art
🍂Play farm games & participate in hands-on activities
🌟Build confidence, responsibility & meaningful connections with animals

Barn Buddies isn’t just an after school class- it’s time to unplug, get outside, make friends & become part of the farm!

Bard Buddies starts Thursday, October 22nd from 3:30-5:30pm!

Our private equine-assisted reading tutoring program includes:

📖Individualized instruction
🔤Phonemic awareness & phonics
🐴Decoding & encoding
📕Fluency & comprehension
📝Multi-sensory, sequential instruction aligned with the Orton-Gillingham approach
🌟Interactive reading activities on a horse farm
⏰60-minute private sessions
🤩Designed for K-4th grade reading levels

And yes…horses are part of the learning!🐎 As a certified K-12 teacher and an equine-assisted reading interventionist, I combine evidence-based literacy instruction with horses.

At Mahogany Bay Farm, children work on essential reading skills alongside horses in an engaging, multi-sensory environment designed to make learning less like “more school” and more like an experience they want to be part of. 🐴💛

The Pony Pals Book Club kids finished Unicorn Diaries: Bo the Brave by playing Five Finger Retell and designing their own Rockstar Reader Patch!! 🦄 These young readers focused on:
✅ decoding multisyllabic words
