Last week was filled with joy as our Transportation staff returned to prepare for another safe Mission in the 2026-2027 school year. We participated in Open Houses, Convocation, In-Services, and the Transportation Kick-off. We are ready to serve!

School buses will be back on the roads next week.
SC law 56-5-2770: You MUST stop for a school bus the entire time its red or amber lights are flashing, OR its stop arm is extended.

Behind the bus? Stop, every time.
Opposite direction on a multi-lane highway? You may proceed with caution.
Every other scenario? STOP.

Our Traffic Enforcement Unit will be out in force the next few weeks looking for those impatient drivers who may dare to pass a stopped school bus picking up or dropping off students.

Join us July 31, 2026 from 1-3pm at Cotton Belt Elementary for our Wheels in Motion event. Come check out our Parenting Partnerships Parent Educators to enroll for our 26-27 program year (families with children prenatal to age 5), come play on our Early Connections bus, and for all school aged children come check out the transportation staff and have fun interacting with your bus driver! Can’t wait to see you!
