We love it when we see students memorize a piece and play it with passion! 🎶🎹 Well done, Easton! 🎵

Yesterday we had our two final recitals of the season! We are so thankful for the wonderful students and families that are part of New Song Studio! 🎵

This remarkable young man played two very difficult, and very different pieces. He managed to blend the heart pounding intensity of "Phantom of the Opera" with the calming beauty of "Clair de Lune." I had originally planned for him to play the pieces separately, but he composed his own transition to turn the two pieces into a medley. This created a piece that was 13 minutes long and so beautiful it made me cry. I am attaching just 3 minutes of it. It is worth the time to listen. 🎵🎶

Caleb, it has truly been an honor to teach you these last few years, and we know the Lord will bless your efforts as you move into college and beyond. ❤️🎹

Recital 2026

Today we had our first recital of the season (more to come next week)! We enjoyed such a sweet time with these students and their families today!

Last week, one of the clients at the Adult Enrichment Center wanted to play in the program. I encouraged her to come up, though I admit that I doubted she could actually play the piano. I think we all teared up a little when she played a couple Christmas carols, loud and clear! She bowed dramatically at the end and let us all know her name and how old she was. She was crying too. It was a sweet reminder of how God gives us all the capacity to find joy in music. Today when we returned to the center for our second group of students, I encouraged this young lady to be part of the program again. Her joy gave us joy!

The special needs friends around us bless us with their appreciation for the simple joys in life! 🥰🎶✨️

Special shout out to Easton, who accompanied everyone singing "Away in a Manger." We have another church pianist in the making! 🎶🥰

Today we had the joy of taking a second group of students to the Adult Enrichment Center in York! Many of the students have been there the last few years at Christmas. It was sweet to see how much they have grown and matured as musicians. 🎶 We have the best students! ❤️
