Marlon Ramsé Frómeta Ballester is a Cuban-born ballet dancer and teacher from Havana, Cuba, whose career has taken him from the prestigious Fernando Alonso National Ballet School to the stages of international ballet companies and festivals. He is currently based in the United States and dances with Indianapolis Ballet as a Soloist.
Marlon began his formal ballet training at the Fernando Alonso National Ballet School in Cuba, where he developed a strong foundation in classical ballet and graduated as both a ballet dancer and teacher. He later joined the National Ballet of Cuba, first as a trainee and eventually as an official company dancer, performing a wide range of classical and contemporary repertoire, including several soloist roles.
During his career with the National Ballet of Cuba, Marlon had the opportunity to work with and perform repertoire by internationally recognized choreographers and artists, including Alexei Ratmansky in Concerto DSCH, Gemma Bond in La Hora Novena, Billy Cowie and Cathy Marston in Prospera, George Balanchine in Theme and Variations, Alberto Méndez in The River and the Wood, Anabelle Lopez Ochoa in Celeste, Jorge García in Majísimo, and Azari Plisetski in Canto Vital. His classical repertoire has also included Coppélia, Giselle, Don Quixote, La Bayadère, Le Corsaire, Manon, Swan Lake, and The Sleeping Beauty, among other works.
As his professional career developed, Marlon expanded his artistic experience internationally through opportunities in the United States, Mexico, and South Africa, working as a professional dancer and guest artist. He has also participated as a guest artist at the South African International Ballet Competition, further expanding his experience within the international ballet community.
