Dance It Forward

This is how we teach ballet at Dance It Forward. Meet Pastelle with her student, Naomi.

No element of training is overlooked. Especially in our elementary levels, our teachers and coaches spend time sitting on the floor molding the feet and legs with their hands in order for the dancers to truly feel correct technique. As they learn to activate the right muscles and understand proper alignment, muscle memory begins to develop creating a strong technical foundation that will support them for years to come.

Great dancers aren't built by rushing through steps or winning trophies or calling children "world champions". They're built by mastering the fundamentals, one detail at a time. Even professional dancers continue to work on these very same practices.

At Dance It Forward, we have the Greater York Chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts. These dancers dedicate themselves to their dance training, their academics and their community! Under the direction of Sarah Sentz. Let the community service projects begin!!!
