We were honored to have a special visit from Alumni Rich Hurlbert at Christian School of York today! Rich’s CSY journey began in 4th grade in 1969, and he was a member of the second graduating class in 1978. He later returned to teach at CSY from 1982–1986, making an impact on a new generation of students. During his visit, Rich shared fond memories of teachers, classmates, and staff who helped shape his life, reflected on the many friendships that have endured through the years, and celebrated all that God continues to do at CSY today. As Rich put it, “My life was changed because of CSY.” Thank you, Rich, for spending time with us and for being such an important part of our school’s story. Big things are happening behind the scenes as our campus kitchen and mezzanine areas undergo an exciting transformation!

This renovation is so much more than new cabinets and equipment, it represents God’s faithful provision through the incredible generosity of donors who believe in the mission of Christian School of York through year-long giving efforts culminating in our 2026 Give Local York campaign.

When complete, this updated space will better serve our students, faculty, staff, and the many moments of fellowship that happen around the table each day.

We can’t wait to share the finished result with you, but for now, here’s a little sneak peek. 👀

🎨 What a blessing this week has been!
We had the joy of welcoming one of our talented students, as the Lead Creative Designer for a brand-new Christian School of York spirit wear T-shirt. This experience was won at our Annual Auction which will be held this fall, on November 7th.
Abi spent the morning experiencing the design process firsthand. Researching past spirit wear, exploring the CSY brand, sketching concepts, and transforming her original ideas into a design that will soon be available through our school spirit store.
Watching our students use their God-given creativity in meaningful ways is one of the many reasons we love what we do. At CSY, learning extends far beyond the classroom as students are encouraged to discover, develop, and use their gifts for His glory.
Stay tuned! We’ll be revealing Abi’s finished design and announcing the official release date for this exciting new spirit wear shirt very soon. We can’t wait to share it with our CSY family!

Weather conditions may have changed our plans, but it couldn’t stop the fun!
When the weather kept us indoors, our amazing camp team got creative! The day was complete with a bounce houses, races, laughter, and plenty of smiles.
At CSY summer camp, we’re reminded that sometimes God changes our plans to create something even better than we imagined. Every day is another opportunity to grow, play, build friendships, and experience the joy that comes from being together.
