Students in York Academy's S Camp (Sports, Science & Snacks) are reaching for the stars this summer! As part of their exploration of space, planets, and our solar system, campers are designing and creating their own solar system models while learning what makes each planet unique. 🌎🪐✨
Meanwhile, another group of young engineers puts their creativity to work by building spaceship hangars out of Magnetiles, designing structures to house and launch their imaginary spacecraft. 🚀
From sports and snacks to exciting STEM activities, S Camp is proving that summer learning can be both educational and fun!

York Academy's Summer Camp program☀️is officially underway, and our campers are already having a blast! Each day begins with breakfast before students jump into arts and crafts, gym games, and hands-on learning activities.
One group is exploring outer space and the planets through creative projects and reading activities, while another is learning about New York City through exciting tower-building challenges inspired by its famous skyline. 🏙️⭐
After a fun-filled morning of learning and exploration, campers enjoy lunch before heading home with new memories to share. We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!

As part of our service day, members of the Brockie Administrative Team volunteered LifePath Christian Ministries in downtown York, helping sort and organize donated clothing for individuals and families in need.
Service is an important part of who we are at York Academy, and we are grateful for opportunities to support organizations that make such a meaningful difference in our community.
Thank you to LifePath Christian Ministries for welcoming our team and for the incredible work you do every day.

We’re excited to share that Stack’d Creamery & Burger Bar in York, famous for its over-the-top desserts and signature burgers, is now serving Flavor 67, the winning ice cream flavor created by students in Mr. Hood’s 7th Grade ILA class for the Ripleigh’s January Pop Culture Series competition. Flavor 67 is a delicious combination of birthday cake ice cream, sprinkles, marshmallows, and a blueberry swirl.
If you find yourself at Stack’d Creamery & Burger Bar, be sure to treat yourself to Flavor 67 🍦 and experience the award-winning creation dreamed up by our talented York Academy students. We think you'll agree, it tastes like a champion!

On a hot day like today, a little kindness goes a long way! Staff from both our Upper School and Lower School stopped by to deliver a cooler full of ice pops to help keep the construction team across from the Lower School cool while they worked in the heat.
It's just one of the many ways our York Academy community looks out for one another. We are grateful for the thoughtfulness, teamwork, and generosity that make our school such a special place.

During the last week of school, York Academy proudly recognized students with both our Attribute of the Month Award and Presidential GPA Awards.
May's IB Learner Profile attribute was Open-Mindedness—the ability to appreciate our own cultures and experiences while respecting and learning from the perspectives of others. These students exemplified what it means to be thoughtful, reflective, and willing to grow through new experiences.
We also celebrated students who earned the President's Award for Academic Excellence, recognizing outstanding academic achievement. Among our sixth-grade recipients were students whose average across all four core subjects placed them at the advanced level.
Congratulations to all of our award recipients! Your character, dedication, and hard work make us proud every day.

It's not just our graduating seniors who get to experience a Clap Out at York Academy! Yesterday, our 6th graders enjoyed their own special Clap Out as they prepare to leave the Lower School and begin an exciting new chapter at the Upper School next year.
As they walked the halls one last time, they were celebrated for their accomplishments and reminded that growth comes from hard work, perseverance, and embracing new opportunities. For our younger students watching, this was another powerful reminder that one day they, too, will reach this milestone. Congratulations, 6th graders; we can't wait to see all you accomplish at the Upper School!
