What started as a materials science startup in the J.D. Brown Center incubator has transformed into a major driver of hands-on learning and regional innovation.
Sidd Pawar founded Envision Biomedical in 2020 to solve complex materials science challenges through polymer research. Today, that vision has grown into a thriving R&D partner and a powerful model for how higher education and industry collaborate.
Now, through an exciting partnership with Independent Ink, Sidd is establishing new laboratory capabilities right inside the J.D. Brown Center. This expansion brings advanced product development to our community while opening up real-world, hands-on research opportunities for York College students.
Read how Envision Biomedical and Independent Ink are expanding our regional innovation ecosystem.

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Crispus Attucks York and their STEAM Ambassadors to tour the J.D. Brown Center and Knowledge Park, where they were able to learn from our awesome entrepreneurs and businesses what it's like to be your own boss. These bright students came loaded with questions, and we're so glad we got to spend part of our day with them!

2026 Weinstock Accelerator Winner Spotlight: Fairway Fresh โณ๏ธโจ
Fairway Fresh was founded by Trey Kunkle โ28 and Doug Ringenary โ29. They were one of the 6 businesses to take home $3,000!
What began as a first-year academic project has scaled into Fairway Fresh, a startup dedicated to sustainable athletics. Their flagship product is a portable golf ball cleaner built with 96% recycled content, proving that eco-conscious design and mechanical engineering are a winning pair. Their story highlights the powerful synergy between student ambition and the J.D. Brown Centerโs acceleration resources.
