📣📣📣Guess what time it is! ROAR FEST time!!!! 📣📣📣

Today is HUGE at SB!

Today begins one of the most exciting times of the year at SB- Roar Fest! Roar Fest is PTO’s yearly fundraiser, a two-week period packed with a field day, prizes, and other fun surprises! See the below flyer for how you can participate and what your child can win- including the opportunity to be “Principal for a Day”!

We really need your help to reach our $11,000 goal by October 2! This is how we pay for field trips, assemblies, yearbooks, and all of the fun things your students do at SB. Please consider clicking below to donate and share this link with family and friends and on social media!

If we meet our $11,000 goal by 10/2, our whole school will get to participate in a super fun black-out glow dance party! Check back here daily for updates!

⚽️🏸🛝🎯 Volunteers needed!

We are super excited to hold our annual Roar Fest Field Day on Friday, 9/25! This day of play hosts multiple fun stations for our students to play and get excited about our annual Roar Fest fundraiser! We need LOTS of volunteers to make this day a success! We are still in need of a few room parents!

These classes currently do not have a RP and need one to two volunteers: Long (1st), Kot & Morris (2nd)

These class currently have one RP and could use a co-room parent: Etter, Kilbride, Taylor & Zeigler (KG), Rentzel (1st), Derfler & Stank (2nd), Sweitzer, Payne & Wolfgang (3rd)

Classes not listed have been assigned 2 co-room parents and are not in need at this time.

🚩⬇️🚩 If you want to volunteer at any of our amazing events, you'll need to have your clearances and be an approved CYSD volunteer. The process can take up to 2 weeks, so we encourage parents/guardians to start the volunteer process now so you're good to go for our first event in a few weeks! Click below to register:

We're back, SB! We hope everyone had an amazing summer!

If you're interested in serving as a room parent for your child's class, please comment below with the class and your contact info (e-mail and cell number). Or if you would prefer, email this info to PTO President Brittany Strine at [email protected]

Room parents are responsible for planning and executing two class parties per year (Fall Fest and Friendship Day), which includes communicating with all class parents via the teacher. Most classes will have 2 co-room parents to share the duties. We appreciate your help! ☺️

☀️☀️☀️ We are so excited for our annual Field Day this Thursday! Remember to wear your class color and sneakers (see last Friday's email newsletter), apply sunscreen before coming to school, and wear "play/outdoor" clothing that you can run, crawl and jump with! We will be getting (mildly) wet and playing in the grass!

Don't forget to bring a filled water bottle labeled with your student's name! See you Thursday!

TWO days left to order!

🌯We are hosting a Moe’s Popup Taco-Kit Fundraiser on Tuesday, May 19th, for Stony Brook Elementary School PTO!

These Take-home Family taco Kits are ready to eat when you get home, making your night easier, plus for every kit sold, 25% will be donated to Stony Brook Elementary School PTO -- That’s $10.75 per kit!!!

The Meal Kits feed 4-6, come with all the fixings to make up to 12 tacos, and are $43.00 ($45.58 with tax). Choose from chicken, ground beef, half chicken and half ground beef, or vegetarian. Check out the attached photo for all that is included!

This is a fun, and convenient way to have dinner ready to pick up while supporting a favorite organization. Take a much-deserved night off from cooking, order your family a night of tacos. Show your support!

How to Order:

1. Please place your order by 1:00pm on Monday, May 18th.

2. Pick up your order at Stony Brook Elementary, 250 Silver Spur Dr, York PA 17402 between 5:30-6:00pm on Tuesday, May 19th. Pick-up will be from the front entrance of the school (where the buses normally arrive and depart).

3. If you can't make it on May 18, consider ordering a KIT CREDIT. Stony Brook Elementary School PTO will receive the $10.75, and you can grab your kit where and when it works best for you!
