West York Elementary PTO

Yesterday our 4th and 5th graders at Trimmer had their Fun Day and the rain didn’t stop the good times! The PTO provided activities like face painting, friendship bracelets, various lawn games, sidewalk chalk, an inflatable relay race sponsored by Swope's Salvage & Recycling, shaved ice from Bayou Snow Shaved Ice, and much more!

Thank you to all of our parents and volunteers who took time out of their day to show up for our students! These events couldn’t happen without our amazing volunteers. A special thank you goes out to Jaime Garland and Carolyn McDowell for planning all of the activities for our students! Thank you!!

Today our kindergartners and first graders at Wallace celebrated the end of their school year by having a super Fun Day! Although we had to celebrate inside due to rain, the kiddos still had a blast. They were able to play on the inflatable relay race sponsored by Hanover Volkswagen, get their faces painted, get a tattoo (or two!), make friendship bracelets, dance at a glow party, play lawn games, and much more! All students and adults were also able to enjoy Bayou Snow Shaved Ice today!

Thank you to all of our parents and volunteers who helped out today! The kids had a great day and it’s all because of you guys! A special thank you goes to Kelci Santoemma and Morgan Kuhn for planning the activities for today! Thank you!!

Yesterday, Lincolnway celebrated the end of the school year with an unforgettable Fun Day! The students were able to enjoy an inflatable relay race sponsored by BLM Construction & Remodeling, LLC, face painting, tattoos, popcorn, snow cones from Bayou Snow Shaved Ice, carnival games, and much more! The kids had a blast, and it was amazing to see so many parents and volunteers show up to help make the day a success. We truly cannot make events happen without the support of our volunteers. We’d like to give a special shout out to our volunteers who planned the event and made the day one to remember! Thanks Lori Schott, Jill Buracker, and Becky Kern for all of your hard work!

Your student will be coming home with a special gift from the West York Elementary PTO as they get ready to head to middle school!

Each 5th grader will receive:

A drawstring backpack
A waterproof WY Bulldogs sticker
A letter of well wishes from the PTO
As a welcome to middle school, the WYAMS PTSO has also included information about their organization along with a treat for the students.

We are so proud of our 5th graders and wish them all the best as they begin this exciting new chapter.

Lincolnway Families!!

Due to a water main break near Lincolnway Elementary School, the building will be dismissing at 12:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

The buses will be picking up students at 12:30 p.m., and parent pick-up will begin at 12:30 p.m. Please follow staff directions during dismissal to help ensure a safe and efficient process.

All other District schools and activities will continue as scheduled.

Calling all players who want to be part of something fun while learning the game of soccer. This summer’s soccer camp, hosted by the Lady Bulldogs, is the perfect opportunity for boys and girls entering 1st through 8th grade to build skills, make friends, and enjoy the game in a positive and energetic environment.

Camp will take place July 13–16 (Monday through Thursday) from 5:30–7:30 p.m. on the field behind West York Area Middle School. The cost is $100 per camper.

Whether your child is new to soccer or looking to improve their game, campers will enjoy skill development, teamwork activities, and plenty of fun each evening.

West York Families! Registration for West York Bulldogs FC Fall 2026 Travel Soccer is NOW OPEN!

Early registration cost (now until May 7) is $120 and late registration cost (May 8-16) is $125.

Open to boys and girls born in 2019 and older.

ALL players must attend evaluations: May 19 for boys and May 20 for girls.

To show our faculty and staff how much they are appreciated today, the PTO provided a delicious lunch with chick fil a nuggets and macaroni and cheese, as well as salad and cookies at all three of our elementary buildings!

A special thank you to the Weis Markets stores on Roosevelt Ave & Carlisle road, the Giant stores on Carlisle Rd in West York, Dover, & on Pauline Drive and Chick fil a in West York for donating gift cards / items to make this possible!

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! To kick it off, the PTO organized a Hydration Station at each of our elementary buildings! Faculty and Staff were able to mix up their favorite flavors, or try a recipe created by the PTO!
