Some may think York Tech is quiet over the summer, but there's actually a lot of activity within the building. Staff has been busy with prep work, cleaning, facilities improvements, and much more.

Additionally, we had the chance to celebrate several achievements last month, such as:

✅ Earning the 2026 Partner of the Year Award
✅ FCCLA's successful 2025-26 school year
✅ Professional development milestones

Great job, Spartans!

SkillsUSA is one of our career-related student organizations. (Some alumni might remember SkillsUSA by its previous name — VICA.)

This past school year, York Tech students participating in SkillsUSA made quite a splash. Forty-three students earned a total of 49 medals during competitions, and the cherry on top was when Brandon Mihalyov finished second in the country for Electrical Construction Wiring. Additionally, Alaska Ruby was selected as a state officer, and York Tech earned two awards for chapter excellence.

Last week, Brandon and Alaska were joined by Gabriella Stevens to represent the group as SkillsUSA was recognized during the Joint Operating Committee meeting. Great job, Spartans!
