Fields of Hope seeks to bring hope to those who have none, to those who wonder if they will live to see another day, to those who wonder if they even want to

Our goal is simple, to give these women hope. Hope of a new life, hope that their children might have better opportunities than they had, hope that they won’t always have to struggle each day just to survive. We are working on plans to open a coffee shop, a school and a farm. The coffee shop will hire the women at fair wages, teach them job skills and instill dignity into their lives. The school w

We were so happy to be able to do another food distribution today to the families from the school we used to run. It’s a bright spot for us with all the difficult news of war and other challenges in Ethiopia these days…

Did you know that tomorrow is ? It’s a global day of giving what we can to help others. Facebook is matching donations starting exactly at 8am tomorrow morning. We’d be honored if you would partner with Fields of Hope tomorrow to help keep our vision moving forward.

We know we’ve been pretty quiet these last few months. It just seemed like there was already going on in the world to add to that for the time being. We’re planning to share some exciting updates soon and hope you’ll stay tuned for that!

On Friday we were so excited to be able to support the families from our school by providing them with a months worth of essential food and hygiene materials! Thank you so much for everyone who donated and helped to make this happen, we reached our goal with a few donations that were made outside of Facebook!

It is so encouraging to see people come together to meet the needs of each other around the world. This is what hope during a global pandemic can look like.

Each of the 27 families received:
- 15 kilos of teff
- 25 kilos of wheat
- 5 liters of cooking oil
- 10 kilos of pasta
- 5 kilos of rice
- 1 liter of hand sanitizer
- 5 liters of liquid soap
- 5 bars of soap
- 1 face mask

Our team on the ground also took a few minutes to educate these families on COVID19 and what precautions to take that can help stop the spread of the virus.

A huge thank you to Abiyot, Dav and Alem for doing so much hard work to make this a reality!

Single moms and their children who are students at Yetesfa Mesk Academy in Ethiopia will be receiving basic food and hygiene supplies this week thanks to the generosity of our donors! Will you partner with us to provide what is needed?

Yesterday, our amazing team in Ethiopia purchased a months worth of food, hygiene supplies and Sabahar masks for each family. They are now sorting this out and getting ready to distribute all of the care packages tomorrow.

Thank you to EVERYONE who so generously gave to make this possible. We decided to also purchase powdered milk for the families and to cover the cost of a taxi for volunteers since they do not have their own cars.

There is hope in the midst of this pandemic. Love, care and provision for 27 families is taking place in Addis Ababa this week.

Did you hear that Fields of Hope received an anonymous $500 in MATCHING GRANT FUNDS to provide food and sanitary supplies to 27 families for the month of July 2020?

Care packages will include a month's supply of basic food items, toiletries, masks and sanitizers to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 among these dear families living in extreme poverty. Volunteers in Ethiopia are preparing the care packages for families to receive later this week.

Will you help us? We need about $2,000 to be able to serve all 27 families for the month of July.

There's still $225 left in the matching grant, so there's some time left for you to double your donation!
