On this cooler day as we are nearing finals, we are reminiscing on last semester when Dr. Tacka took her MKT230 Retailing class to Uller’s, where she is one of the owners. Students had the opportunity to see how retailing worked firsthand while asking questions about different business aspects. This was an incredible real-world learning opportunity and fun adventure to wrap up the semester! We love our real-world adventures!

The Career Expo was once again in full swing last week! Over 125 employers came to speak with students about internships, co-ops, summer, part-time, and full-time opportunities. From alumni running booths for companies (Slide 5) to students like Accounting major Caeley Bair––who learned about and secured an internship with RKL from last year’s Career Expo (Slide 3)––everything went off without a hitch! Save the date for our fall Expo - September 23!

Dr. James Norrie, Professor in the Graham School, delivered the most insightful keynote for the York Rotary - "AI + IQ: Choosing Humanity in the Age of Thinking Machines."

He is truly an expert in the field who can take this complex topic and move us all to take crucial next steps to create the future we want.
