This season, our school took part in a system-wide concept called Featured Show. As part of the event, we submitted a video performance of our students crushing "You Give Love a Bad Name" by Bon Jovi. 💘

School of Rock York officially took home the First Place "Legendary Performer" award in the global School of Rock Video Contest! 🥇

We are incredibly proud of the hard work, precision, and pure rock-and-roll energy these students poured into this track. And a huge shoutout to our amazing instructors—whose dedication and mentorship make moments like this possible!! 🤘🎉

We have a few spots remaining in our 80's Rock, Best of the 90's, and Green Day music camps.

🎸 Sunday, June 21 is international Make Music Day, and School of Rock York is celebrating by opening our doors to the next generation of local musicians!

We are hosting FREE group music sessions for beginners on Sunday, June 21:

🥁 The "Rookies" Session (Ages 4–7)
Time: 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM (30 minutes)

Perfect For: Little ones with big energy! This session uses music-based games and hands-on instrument exploration to teach rhythm, structure, and foundational musical concepts in a totally playful environment.

🎸 The "Rock 101" Session (Ages 8–14)
Time: 5:15 PM – 6:00 PM (45 minutes)

Perfect For: Kids who want to experience what it's actually like to play in a band. They’ll get to try the guitar, bass, drums, keys, or vocals and learn how individual parts come together to create an awesome rock sound.

⚠️ Note: Registration is required and spots are limited because every student gets to actually handle and play the instruments!

And that’s a wrap on Pop Punk Camp! 🎸🔥

Replica of Nothing (their official band name) learned about pop punk artists, played music games, created custom tie-dye shirts, and made new friends. They also learned and performed a 4-song setlist for their Friday show! 🥁🎤

🎤🥁What an awesome first week of School of Rock Summer Music Camps! 🌞 Our Rookies campers learned about and played all of our different rock instruments, learned musical concepts, played music games, tie-dyed their own band shirts, and made new friends!

They also learned TWO songs and absolutely rocked their Friday performance! 🎸🔥

We had so much fun with these little rockstars! 🤩

THIS SUNDAY! Throughout the day, great music comes to Riverfront Park to benefit LSRA and kick off a day of Maker’s Market shopping, food, and fun.

School of Rock is a performance-focused music school. School of Rock House Band is comprised of music students ages 11 to 18. This band is audition-based and gives music students the opportunity to join a gigging band composed of fellow musicians from their school. Students perform live shows throughout the community.

Day 1 of Rookies Camp was an absolute blast! 🥁

Our youngest rockstars wasted no time today. They got hands-on learning all about the drum kit, jammed out to our Song of the Day "Wagon Wheel," and already started rocking out to their big performance song, "Bad to the Bone!" 🎸😎

Oh, and their official band name selection? The Pink Excited Lions!
