Let's talk for a minute about your autistic children. They are so smart but need a little help at times showing it. It is hard work and long days but it is more then possible.
Here you see a boy relaxed and ready to play/learn! His mother and I where talking one day and I had said, something about being "none verbal." She looked at me and said "why do people say that, he makes sounds and says some words." I stopped and thought to myself she is right everyone is verbal, just because someone doesn't talk in full sentences or just makes noise their talking in their own way!
In other other photo you see him playing with flash cards and books. Flashcards are a great way for anyone to learn, but for an autistic child it helps to see and touch something they are learning. After 10 minutes he was saying the word bird after touching it over and over.
