What a fantastic afternoon at the YC-LLI Summer Picnic!

There was something for everyone, indoor and outdoor "dining," music, bocce lessons, co****le, delicious food, ice cream, and a lively game of BINGO with so many prizes that everyone went home a winner!

From tiny eggs to beautiful butterflies!

YC-LLI members recently discovered the fascinating world of monarch butterflies in "Attracting Monarch Butterflies and How to Raise Them." Participants learned how to create a butterfly-friendly garden and gained practical tips for raising monarchs from egg to butterfly. A heartfelt thank you to Jennifer Titemore for sharing her expertise.

Another local tour is in the books for YC-LLI members!

A big thank you to Martin Library for providing an eye-opening look at the many resources, services, and opportunities available to our community.

One member summed up the experience perfectly:
"It was awesome. I had no idea the Martin Library had so many resources. Thank you for a great program!"

We love helping our members discover the hidden gems right here in York County, and this tour was a great reminder that there is always something new to learn and explore!

YC-LLI members recently enjoyed a fascinating behind-the-scenes tour of the York County History Center, discovering stories, artifacts, and local history that many had never seen before!

One participant summed up the experience perfectly: “So much to see and learn! It could be longer or a 2-day session.”

The good news? We're not done learning! Thanks to our partnership with the History Center, another YC-LLI member tour is planned for this fall. See details in the fall catalog and register August 3!
