🥋Promotions will be held at 6pm on Monday, August 24th.

📍As mentioned in class the last few weeks, children that are due for their next belt must show commitment and competency by showing off their favorite sweep, submission, and takedown!

🤼‍♂️We will run promotions at the beginning of class with the option to get some rounds in afterwards.

This one’s for the girls 😏💅👸

Our female students competed at Joan of D’Arce women’s only tournament this weekend and kicked butt!! For a lot of our students this was their first time competing.

🏆🏆🏆🏆One of our youngest students took home QUAD (4X) gold AND it was her first competition!

We are so proud of all our students for stepping out of their comfort zone and giving it their all. Win or lose, competition has a way of showing where your strengths and weaknesses are in your jiu-jitsu game. There is no false confidence here. We want your jiu-jitsu to be tried, tested and solid. That is why we will always encourage competition.

Congratulations to all of our students for their accomplishments. The first one is over, now on to the next!😤🔥

So Coach Jerod and Dexter are on a business road trip to Alaska and stopped overnight in Dawson Creek, British Columbia and end up teaching a no gi class at a local MMA gym at the request of the gym owner. Jiu jitsu friends can be made anywhere, OSS.

It’s getting HOT in here 🥵🌞🔥 so here’s a few announcements for the coming weeks!

✅ 7/1 Wednesday kids class will be NOGI
🚫 7/4 no class. We are closed Saturday July 4th

Depending on how long the heat keeps up this may be the start of nogi kids classes for the rest of the summer. Here is a checklist to ensure your little one is ready for nogi!

🚫 Please note that for the safety of your child, training may be prohibited if they do not have water with them for class.
🚫 T-shirts are NOT suitable NoGi attire because we don’t like broken fingers!

Review this checklist for best training practices:

💦Water Bottle/Electrolytes
🥋Clean Gi Uniform (Gi & belt)
🤼‍♂️Clean Nogi Uniform (Shorts/spats & rash-guard)
👃Smelling fresh
