Nine years ago today, we made the ultimate decision to expand the family by opening the Yorba Linda Branch.✨ Our journey started with a family of five students and a dream to build on Grand Master Buell's legacy. Today, looking out to all of our students and seeing the growth and dedication from each, we are overwhelmed with gratitude. This first picture showcases some of our active peewee, junior, and adult students. 🤙🏼

Thank you to our incredible students, parents, and instructors for making this journey possible. The dedication, discipline, and sweat you bring to this studio keep us moving forward. We are honored to be part of your growth and look forward to the years to come!

Kempo Summer Camp Day Five
Day Five: Integrity: Being Honest with Others and Being Honest with Yourself

That's a wrap!! Summer Camp has officially come to an end! Campers spent the last day of camp reflecting on all they learned this week. The themes of each day are showcased on the walls of the studio to always remember what we're learning in each class. Did anyone catch that? 😉

Campers worked on agility courses and overcoming obstacles today while then practicing for their demos! They had to ability to showcase some of the cool things they learned this week including specialty kicks, punch combinations and even learned an advanced form! Ended the demo with some board breaking! Better yet, they got the chance to show these skills in front of their families at the end of the day!

We hope you all had a great and informative week! We hope you learned a lot, made great memories, and most importantly, we hope you had FUN! ☀️🤙🏼

Kempo Summer Camp Day Four! 🎳
Day Four: Respect is Earned, Not Given

Knocking down pins and building up memories! The Campers got to hit the lanes today! The focus today was on respect. This was showcased through taking turns, rooting for each other, and respecting ourselves if our score wasn't quite as good as we may have wanted it to be.

Campers bonded through mutual respect for eachother and for themselves today all while enjoying some friendly competition!
Practice makes perfect and it comes with time and hard work!

Our last day of camp is tomorrow! The week flew by so fast! I hear the Campers have been practicing something super special for tomorrow. Can't wait to see it! 🤙🏼

Kempo Summer Camp Day Three 🏞☀️
Day Three: Discipline & Being In Control of Our Actions

Ready, set, SPLASH!
The Campers got a break from the studio today and took a nice walk down to the park where they got to enjoy the cool relief of a water fight in this summer heat! Sq**rt guns, water balloons and buckets of water made this a memorable and enjoyable afternoon! The instructors even joined in for some of the excitement! 🎉 Ended the day with a football game: adults vs kids!

Our word of the day is discipline. We took a serious word and exemplified it with being in control of our actions while doing fun activities at the park: following the rules even when hectic, listening to directions, stopping when told to stop, and having self-control when it matters the most to ensure safety first while still having fun!

Half way through the week and still so much more planned ahead! What will Day Four bring us? 👀🎳

Kempo Summer Camp Day Two! 🐍
Day Two: Confidence is Key! 🔑

WOW! What a fun day! Snakes, lizards, tortoises, oh my! Campers worked on confidence and overcoming fears today. Some fears may have been having a snake resting upon your shoulders, some could have been talking in front of a crowd. We overcame them all!

We got the awesome experience of learning about some pretty unique and special reptiles, decorated our own slithering snake toy, played trust and balance games, and had the opportunity to grow closer as a group from public speaking about ourselves and what makes each of us unique and special, too!

Looking forward to what day three has in store for us! ☀️🏞
