Welcome to 2014, University of Yonkers students! Just a reminder that spring semester will begin whenever everyone decides to start rolling back in again. Try to sync up with all the others!

As the year is neatly bundled away, along with our seasonal Merry Yonkmas decorations which have been out for a good four months now (as per tradition), we warmly invite our undergraduate population to participate in this year's New Year's Naming Convention!
Happening all of this week (good luck on finals by the way), the Student Center will host a plethora of booths where you can acquire name tags, get your name engraved on smartphones and laptops, and request legal name changes!
Because we believe that here at the University of Yonkers, our students have the right to make a new name for themselves. Literally!

In celebration of our overbearing capitalist culture, we have moved all classes to vendor locations around the Yonkers Megamall, so you can learn through your money while you burn through your money! (Think about that one for a bit.)

Need a break from studies? Join our University-sponsored Jumanji game on the second floor of the Student Center! Watch the world around you dissolve into chaos and madness, as your test-related worries are washed away in this game's wacky hijinks!

LOL, just kidding! Study hard for those exams this week!

In accordance with the "Think Before You Act" anti-depression campaign taking place this week, all University-instated final exams will be extended to twice their regular allotted times.

The catch is that all students must work twice as slowly as they usually would.

We will have official University of Yonkers T-shirt decals printed up shortly! Look for them in the Student Center lobby, tabling next to the Humans vs. Other Humans guys. Bring your own tape!

Are you looking for community service hours, free meal passes, and most importantly, Outside the Classroom Curriculum credits? Bring yourself and your friends to the Streets Ahead Slip 'n' Slide Marathon tomorrow, 10 a.m., at Vark St.! You'll help clear sidewalks and walkways while at the same time helping your precious community out! Bring a towel!

Update: The flooding situation has been completely handled at this point. We advise students to attend class prepared with scuba gear and to stay away from manholes for the time being.
Also, because of the repairs, Slip 'n Slide Fest will not be happening next month. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The University will be testing all university water facilities for the campus-wide Slip 'n Slide Fest next month! Therefore, all cold water services, including toilet and shower pipes, will be turned off for a twenty-four hour period, starting in about 22 minutes.
Look forward to that! (the festival)
