Tip of the month….

If you carry, become very proficient with your favorite pistol. Changing pistol types at random will not produce the same results, unless of course you also train heavily with those platforms. Most people don’t.

Also, and of course just an opinion, carrying the EDC in the same position on your body matters. If you practice getting clothing out of the way for appendix carry draw and do this relentlessly, under stress, you are more likely to instinctively reach for the appendix area. If you decided for some reason to use a f***y pack (yes, they are back), you might add time to your draw as you will discover your EDC is not there.

A prime example is a California Detective began wearing a shoulder holster when he got promoted. He had worked the street for over 15 years, wearing a standard uniform with a belt mounted holster on his right side.

This detective was confronted by an armed suspect during a follow up investigation. The detective instinctively reached for his right side belt mounted holster instead of his newly positioned shoulder holster. The detective was shot, but was able to eliminate the bad guy.

During his post shooting interview, investigators noticed that he had actually ripped the belt loop off the right side of his slacks where he had found no weapon.

Both running 100gr projectiles in Round Nose Flat Point RNFP and JHP at the same velocity, 940fps from a 5.5" revolver and 1,225fps out of a 18" lever rifle...so you have a range round and a defensive/hunting load that will both print the same on the target.

Two baby Desert Eagles just came in on consignment today at 14:20 hours. Consecutive serial numbers which is interesting. Chambered in 9.

Going to be some great raffles, swag and the Upper Nisqually Sportsman’s Club and the Evergreen Sportsmen’s Club will be doing a drawing (no charge) for a free 1 year membership.

The Long Shot will be raffling off a pew pew, most likely a G17.
