Day five of International Fairy Tea Party, and the fairies left us a little experiment—a magical color-changing potion (cabbage water) with a side of lemon and lime.

Hint: Both the lemon and lime changed the purple water to pink. 😉

Their senses got involved too, as the children did a little taste test of the lemons and limes. 🫶🏼

It’s not for me to decide.

They started a glue board today and I’m so excited to see what they do with it.

They don’t know it, but this is kindergarten prep as they squeeze, drip, stack, layer, build hand strength, figure out how much pressure to use, and watch what happens when they squeeze a little…or a lot.

There’s no plan for what it has to become, because it’s their vision. ❤️

First-day ready! ✨

The classrooms are refreshed, the lights are up, the materials are out, and we’re ready for another year of play and learning.

And because I like to keep it real… the back foyer is still the back foyer. 😂 Raincoats, bags, extra clothes, and all the things that come with real children spending real days here.

Pretty spaces are wonderful, but they also have to work. 💛
