Cutting people off as the default reaction to being triggered is not emotional health. It’s a maladaptive coping mechanism. We need to normalize acceptance of that truth. Can parents to better? Yes. Can their adult children do better? Yes. Estrangement doesn’t solve it.

Hey friend. I don't spend a lot of time on this page. You can find me more often in our free Facebook Community at https://www.facebook.com/groups/christianestrangedmothers
In the group, you can find discussions around estrangement from an adult child, journal prompts and Christian encouragement.
It is NOT the typical family estrangement support group... we hold space for feelings, but we do not wallow in negativity or commiserate, with no view of healing and restoration. Join us if this is resonating with you.

Hey, friends. It’s Tea Time Tuesday! In this episode, I’m answering one of the most common questions I am asked by estranged moms: “Should I reach out to my estranged child, or should I wait?” It is vital to time your contact in a strategic way, so grab your tea mug and settle in. ☕

Notice that this verse says God provides a tower of refuge. When we're in the weeds of the problem, it's hard to see the big picture. We're so zoomed in that it can feel hard to see the way out. But when we enter into the tower of God's refuge, we rise up above the enemy and can more clearly see what we missed when we were on the ground. Sis, if you're going through it, get in touch with Jesus and get into the tower.
