NEW POST, NEW SONG 08.31.20

Hey!

Here’s a chestnut from a quartet performance on August 22, 2020: Erroll Garner’s “Misty”. Ralph’s playing IS the truth…such organic honesty and sublime beauty…I know no other person whose tone, phrasing, and overall sound is so authentic and genuine. He’s such a humble guy about his own playing…frankly, I FEEL humbled to be able to make music with all of these guys.

NEW POST, NEW SONG 08.30.20

Hey, everyone:

There are a few more tunes I’d love to share with you from the quartet performance on August 22, 2020. While any one of us would be happy to volunteer our time to play music for our beloved veterans, the extra-special reason we performed this concert at the VA is because our dear friend, Jim Beaudry, recently celebrated his 97th birthday and we wanted to share this gift of music with our buddy. This is a song I wrote in Jim’s honor back in 2007 called “Beaudry’s Blues”.
