A few highlights from last week! Junior and Senior Chefs learned veloute (the second of the five French mother sauces we’re learning this month), the KinderCooks made fresh pasta primavera, and our campers turned out dozens of delicious recipes that showed off their new skills and excellent teamwork! Great job, chefs!

This week’s camp is a great mix of cooking, baking, and hands-on kitchen skills. Chefs will make things like fresh fruit cake, pizza twists, egg roll bowls, brownie sundaes, burger-stuffed buns, and geode cupcakes — and they’ll learn the techniques behind them along the way.

They’ll practice knife skills, learn how to knead and shape dough, make sauces from scratch, work with yeast, cook on a griddle, stir-fry, safely handle raw meat, decorate with fondant, and more.

And yes, there will be plenty of eating involved, too!
