Dear New Hope Academy Community,

It is with great sadness that we have been asked to let faculty, parents, students, as well as the New Hope Academy community past and present, know that our founder Kathleen Rosso Gana passed away today after an extended illness.

Kathy was not only our founder, but also our president, a teacher, and a trainer to thousands of New Hope Academy employees and students over the last 25 years. In fact, in many ways, Kathy Gana was New Hope Academy. Her compassion and drive transformed NHA from an idea to the beacon of hope it is today for so many. As we all process this tremendous loss, please keep the Gana family in your thoughts and prayers. Your love, support, and prayers are deeply appreciated during this difficult time.

Information regarding funeral arrangements will be shared with the New Hope Academy community when it becomes available.

Students, staff, and families gathered at the Sheraton on Friday, June 5th for NHA's annual commencement ceremony. The music department provided musical dedications by notable artists such as Billy Joel, Jimmy Cliff, and Carole King. Along with salutatorians and valedictorians, there were record amount of honored student speakers. This year's keynote speaker Major Steve Nolan sent the graduates off with words of strength, wisdom, and empathy. Thanks to the Sheraton in Oxford Valley for hosting and providing a hearty buffet luncheon for the families to follow. Congrats to the class of 2026!

Join us this Friday, May 15TH at 7PM for NHA's annual SPRINGFEST talent show! Doors open at 6:30. Tickets are $15 General Admission, and free to current NHA students & staff. Students will be performing a wonderful variety of genres from pop and theatre, to classic rock and even metalcore. Group acts include NHA's Voices of Hope Choir, Jazz Band, Blue Crew Dance Team, and a special song featuring some of our seniors.

Concessions, fundraisers and NHA merchandise will be available for purchase. Can't wait to see you there!

Thank you all for your support of NHA's Alice by Heart this past weekend. We will be taking orders for extra t-shirts up until this FRIDAY, APRIL 24TH.

Join us as we travel down the rabbit hole this Friday and Saturday night, 4/17 and 4/18, starting at 7pm at the Yardley Community Center. "Alice by Heart" sets the scene in a London Underground station during the WWII Blitz, where Alice Spencer and her ailing friend, Alfred Hallam, seek refuge as they hide from the bombing. Alice, desperate to escape her grief and the harsh reality, uses her cherished copy of Alice in Wonderland to escape with Alfred into a fantasy world. The Yardley Community Center is located at 64 South Main Street, Yardley, PA. Please bring your family and friends to enjoy a night out to support our students and staff in the theater program. The cast and crew have been working extremely hard over the past few months and can't wait for you to see their performance. Also, a great big shout out to Kamryn Holahan (class of '28) for creating the artwork for the playbill cover and t-shirt. General admission tickets are $15 at the door, cash or card. The general public is always welcome, current students and staff of NHA are free. There will be door prizes, raffles and concessions available. We can't wait to see you all there!!!

Throwback Thursday takes us back to St. Patrick's Day, but here at NHA it's known as Magic Day! Every year we invite a Magician or Mentalist to come to the school and perform a show for the students and staff, and this year did not disappoint. This year we had the honor of having The Amazing Ivan. Ivan put on an phenomenal show for all of us. After the show students were treated to $1 pizza and a bake sale. After lunch the students got the choice to participate in many different activities. There was Bingo, D & D, Arts and Crafts, Card Games, Sports Club and many more. It was a fun filled day enjoyed by all!

On Tuesday, April 21st from 4-7pm, NHA will be hosting an Open House at our Doylestown Campus. Please come out and tour the school, meet some of the staff, and learn about our enrollment process. Whether you're an advocate, school district representative, lawyer, or just a curious parent/guardian, you will see for yourself why New Hope Academy is such a unique and individualized learning environment. We hope to see you all there!!!
