The Suffolk County Farm and Education Center’s mission is to provide hands-on research-based learning to all residents with themes in agriculture, animal sciences, history, STEM, healthy living, and life skills in a unique year-round learning environment and in community spaces. The Farm’s vision is to connect with our agricultural heritage and to pave the way for a bright, healthy, and sustainable future. Tens of thousands of visitors join us every year at the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center--a real working farm in action! Families can participate in our many special events and get up close to the farm animals. The century-old Farm offers unique educational programs for children Pre-K thru 12th grade, summer day camps, showgrounds, special events, a butterfly house, a certified Nature Explore Classroom and much more.

Teachers, come experience what Suffolk County Farm can bring to your students!
Join us for a fun and interactive evening designed specifically for educators. Hop aboard our tractor-pulled wagon and get a firsthand look at a variety of engaging, hands-on programs available for your students.
You’ll have the opportunity to sample activities, meet our farm educators, and explore programs that can take place right here at the Farm—or that we can bring directly to your school and classroom!
Discover new ways to bring agriculture, animals, science, and hands-on learning into your curriculum while getting a taste of the Farm experience yourself.

The farm will be closed for Labor day (9/7).
But we are open everyday from 9-3 besides that! Come get out those back to school jitters, keep away the Sunday scaries, send the grandparents or aunts and uncles so you can get some last minute back to school prep done, or you can just procrastinate in the mud kitchen- whatever your reason we would love to see ya'll!

Join us each Sunday at the Suffolk County Farm for Hometown Heros Hours from 4pm-6:30pm. This special after-hours event is FREE every Sunday throughout the summer. It’s a unique opportunity for First Responders, Veterans, and Military Families to connect, strengthen community ties, and enjoy nature together. Bring the family or come solo. This upcoming Sunday (8/16) on site providing family/parenting support and information on other resources available.

Registration for Fall Farm Friends will open 9AM August 7th.
Explore our farm with hands-on-activities, stories, songs and a wagon ride (weather permitting) and visit the animals. Each session has been designed to accentuate the child/caregiver learning experience. We will be outside as much as possible, indoor space will be used if necessary. Dress for the weather!
Registration is required. Classes are limited to 15children and one Parent/Caregiver per child. $20 per child, per class (Siblings over 12 months, $10. Siblings under 12 months, free) Children must be within age range of class to register and you must register for a minimum of 4 classes. Programing is available for kids ages 15mo-5 years
