Hi, Everyone--In an order to reach more classmates, could you please do us a huge favor and go through your "friends" list to invite others we might have missed? We can only invite people who are part of our "friends,” so we'd appreciate it if you would take a few minutes to scan your lists and invite those we might have missed. We'd like to see as many people as possible, and we're going to be sharing all information via social media. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi, Everyone--We will be having a low-key gathering at Cottonwood Coral on Friday, August 19. We will plan to meet at 7 p.m. for a few hours before heading down to the river. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Special thanks to Kendra Karstens for helping to organize the reunion! We’ll be creating a Facebook event, so look for the invite soon. We hope you’ll join us if you’re able. Thanks!

Hi, Everyone--The class officers have decided to organize an informal, low-key gathering on Riverboat Days weekend (August 19-21) for the ten-year reunion, and we need your input. Are any of you interested in helping plan the event? If you are, please comment on this post, and based on the feedback we receive, we'll try and facilitate the conversation and/or party planning process with those who want to be involved. Thank you!

Hi, Yankton High School Class of 2006,

Next year, we’ll be celebrating ten years since our graduation from YHS, so as your class officers, we’re seeking your input in the planning process for the reunion. There are three main questions we have:

1. When/what time of year would you like to have the reunion? Riverboat Days tends to be the “unofficial” class reunion each year, so do we want to plan something around that weekend (August 19-21, 2016) or are you interested in another time of year/another holiday?

2. Is there a specific venue that interests you? We’ve heard that one of the classes is renting the bottom level of the Meridian Bridge on July 3, 2016 and having a meal catered that evening. Other classes have rented a room at Ben’s (downtown) or Minerva’s (east Highway 50) for their gatherings.

3. How much would you be willing to contribute (per person) for the reunion? This would potentially include the cost of renting space, catering a meal, and providing a few drink tickets.

We appreciate any and all feedback. If you have friends who have not been invited to this group, and they were part of our graduating class, please invite them to join. We’ll keep you updated as we continue the planning process.

We hope you’re enjoying a great holiday season with family and friends!--Senior Class Officers (Heather McDonald Voorman, Allison Struck, and Paul Ridgway--We are trying to contact the fourth class officer.)
