It is easier to forgive another person than to forgive yourself. We expect others to hurt or disappoint us. We know how to release them and pick up the pieces, however, we never expect to hurt others or ourselves in a way that not only destroys our peace, but also shatters the trust we have placed within ourself. The hardest thing for me was learning to forgive myself for not knowing better and allowing my past trauma to run how I treat other people and how I treat myself! - bad programming! Learning to forgive yourself is a very hard thing to so ~ but a necessary one.
